Built in 2006, SV Coastal Drifter is a Folkes 42 design with steel hull.  Built by Doug Gilroyd on Vancouver Island.  A sloop with furling headsail, she has a 6 ft draft.

A new SCUBA diver, Phil retired from the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Captain in August 2013.  Now THE captain, he plans  to sail the tropics with his crew of two: Best Mate & Man's  Best Friend.

Never been in the ocean? Don't worry! SV Coastal Drifter works in fresh water as well as salt!
